“Life on the Move” (Advocacy) Ministry:
By far, our greatest enemy is ourselves. We were all born with a sin nature (an addiction to sin); and our sin nature can do eternal harm to us, if left unattended. Thankfully, 1 John 2:1 tells us that we sinners have an “advocate”; the Lord Jesus Christ (God in the flesh). Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus came to earth, lived a sinless life, died a sacrificial death for all sin, and rose from death, to forgive, save, transform, and lead anyone who places their faith in Him, and denounces their faith in sin.

The members of Life on Lexington Church want to follow in Jesus’ footsteps, by advocating for humanity. We want to “love one another”, as Jesus loves us. (John 15:12) We want to help “carry one another’s burdens”, as Jesus carried our burdens. (Galatians 6:2; James 2:14-17) We want to work for the good of all, as Jesus has works for the good of all. (John 3:16-17; Galatians 6:9-10; 1 John 2:2) We believe that we are saved by the grace of Jesus, through faith in Jesus, to do the work of Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

The “Life on the Move” Ministry is Life on Lexington Church members advocating for people in need of advocacy.

How do we advocate for people?
1. We share the lifesaving truth about Jesus with people.
2. We share the Biblical principles of the Christian faith with people.
3. We encourage people.
4. We listen to people.
5. We counsel people, Biblically.
6. We pray with people.
7. We invite people to attend Life on Lexington Church.
8. And sometimes, we give gifts to people, in Jesus’ great name.

We are grateful to God for including in His work on earth. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; 1 John 3:18) God is moving; and we want to move with Him.

“Life on the Move” Ministry meetings can take place anytime; but, our church has set aside Sunday evenings as the primary times to serve Jesus, and people in this way.

Since April 2016, our Community Garden (located at 900, 902, and 904 Howard Place in High Point, NC) has existed to assist members of our surrounding community with growing their own food, to feed themselves and the members of their household. During gardening season our Community Garden makes gardening beds available to community members (first come, first serve) for the purpose of growing their own food.

We are grateful to God for allowing our church to play a role in bridging the gap between the hunger crisis that exists in our region and the potential solutions to the hunger crisis.
